TUC National Demonstration “Step up for public services” 12 May LONDON

UNISON is supporting this important national demonstration on Saturday 12 May in London.

Route and rally

The march will assemble on the Embankment between Hungerford Bridge and Blackfriars Bridge from 11am. It will move off at 12pm and march to Hyde Park.  The rally will take place in Hyde Park, finishing at 4pm.

Background to the demo

The demonstration will form part of the TUC Great Jobs Agenda campaign, which sets out the key demands of the movement for how we win a new deal for working people.

The TUC intends to run a well-organised, inclusive, family-friendly, non-sectarian and safe event.

It will kick off with a march followed by a rally with speakers.

The speakers line-up will show the diversity of the trade union movement – and seek to ensure that the audience hears frontline workers as well as women and BME speakers.
